The Hong Kong Super Series 2011 badminton tournament will begin from November 15 this year.
The Hong Kong Super Series, with an award of $200,000, will be played between November 15 and 20. Originally called the Hong Kong Open, it is now a part of the Super Series, included four years ago.
Malaysian Lee Chong Wei will be the defending champion in the men’s singles event, while India’s Saina Nehwal had won the previous edition of the women’s singles event.
32 players in each of the men’s and women’s event and they will participate in a knock-out tournament. There will be two rounds, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.
