Denmark’s Peter Gade will lock horns with fellow countryman Jan O Jorgensen on Thursday in the Yonex Copenhagen Masters Men’s Final.
Gade set up the All-Denmark affair after beating England’s Rajiv Ouseph on Wednesday for the right to face O Jorgensen in tonight’s final.
Gade had the initiative throughout the entire first game and won safely by 21-14. However, the second game turned out to have quite a different conductor. Ouseph finally hit some form and took the set to a decider after winning 21-12.
Gade made sure he was not going to fall at the last hurdle and he cruised into the final with a 21-15 success.
Gade said: “I’m happy for my win and I’m happy for my first game, but suddenly things turned around. I wasn’t able to control the way I did in the first game. I lost a bit of momentum and a bit of the focus, and Rajiv got into the game and suddenly it was a difficult game for me.
“But fortunately I was able to gain control in the end and play with enough focus to win the match.”
