The Hawks are languishing at the bottom of the team standings with only four wins from 17 games. They are coming off a 63-65 defeat to the Townsville Crocodiles.
Melbourne, meanwhile, is in fifth spot with a 9-11 record. They are out to end a five-game losing streak. Cameron Tragardh is Melbourne's main man, averaging 18.6 points.
One more win and the Talk N Text Tropang Texters will add another silverware in its treasure chest. And that clinching win could come on Friday when they face the Powerade Tigers in Game 4 of their PBA Philippine Cup final series.
TNT moved a win away from winning the All-Filipino crown after surviving the Tigers 133-126 in overtime in their last encounter. Jayson Castro and Ranidel De Ocampo stepped up in the extra period to secure the win for the Tigers.
Lithuanian clubs Baltai Kaunas and Rudupis Prienu take on each other in the Baltic League on Friday.
Baltai is languishing next-to-bottom of the Elite Division with a 2-10 record. They have lost their last three league games. In their last outing, they lost to Ventspils 77-83.
Rudupis, meanwhile, is in fourth place with an 8-4 slate. They lost to Juventus 81-87 in the last round. The team takes pride in its all-Lithuanian line-up led by Gediminas Orelikas and Povilas Butkevicius.
Siauliai is in fourth place with a 9-5 record. They are out to bounce back after losing to Pieno Zvaigzdes 78-82. The team's top players are Valdas Vasylius, Rashaun Broadus, Cam Long and Mindaugas Zukauskas.
Lietuvos, meanwhile, leads the team standings with a 12-2 record. They demolished Baltai Kaunas 93-54 in their last league game.
