Croatia and Latvia face off in a crucial Group D game in the Women's Eurobasket today.
Both teams pulled off upset wins yesterday to keep their Qualifying Round hopes alive.
Croatia stunned Greece 65-63 to make up for its lopsided defeat to France on opening day. Sandra Mandir led the way with 19 points, five rebounds and five assists. Ana Lelas and Jelena Ivezic also played well for the Croatians.
Lativa, meanwhile, shocked defending champion France 59-56 in overtime. Elina Babkina fired 26 points to lead the Latvians to their first win of the tournament. Gunta Basko added 10 points and six rebounds while Zane Tamane had nine points and 15 boards.
"Tomorrow's game is important because if we lose we are out," Latvia head coach George Dikeoulakos said after their surprise win over France.
"But now we don’t need to win by seven tomorrow but just win. I hope we can do it."
