The Leopards are in third place in the standings with an 18-10 record, behind Guangdong (23-4) and Beijing (19-8). They are coming off successive wins over the Jilin Tigers (120-98) and Liaoning Hunters (107-94).
Out to lead Dongguan are imports Josh-Emmanuel Akognon and Shavlik Randolph. Akognon leads the team in scoring with 26.9 points while Randolph is averaging 24.5 points, 12 rebounds and 1.7 blocks.
Backing them up are local stars Qiu Biao and Zhang Kai.
Guangdong, meanwhile, has won its last 10 matches. Americans Aaron Brooks and James Singleton are the top players for the Southern Tigers. Brooks is averaging 21 points while Singleton 17.1 ppg and 10.9 rebounds.
They will get support from Chinese national team members Zhu Fangyu, Wang Shipeng and Zhou Peng.
Guangdong beat Dongguan 128-104 in their first meeting this season.
