With the NBL playoffs just 10 weeks away Gold Coast Blaze need to beat Melbourne Tigers at home to keep alive their top four ambitions.
Much has been made of the Tigers’ poor performance the last time these two met, with Melbourne’s 60 points against the Coast the lowest score in their history.
The Tigers are on a four game losing streak but remain fifth in the standings, one place above their hosts, and have play off ambitions of their own.
They've played four games more that Saturday's opponents however, who perhaps didn't receive enough credit for their performance in beating Melbourne.
The Blaze suffered just 13 turnovers and netted 41 per cent of their three-point attempts in an excellent display of basketball.
