Both teams are coming off losses but the Indians seem to be the hungrier squad after pushing Lebanon to the limit in its opening Group A game.
India trailed by as many as 15 points but rallied back to give the Lebanese a scare before losing the game 68-71. The South Asians even led 64-57 before Jean Abd El Nour waxed hot to snatch the win for the Lebanese.
Hareesh Koroth led India with 20 points while Talwinderjit Singh added 18.
Malaysia, meanwhile, was walloped by South Korea 49-82. The South Koreans raced to a 26-3 start and never looked back. No Malaysian scored in double digits with Kwaan Yoong Jing emerging as the best performer with nine points and nine rebounds.
"Let's be honest. We cannot match the power of the Koreans. For us, the experience of playing against such a tough opposition is more important than the result," Malaysia coach Goh Cheng Huat said.
