Powerade Tigers v Talk N Text live streaming basketball is available on Sunday from the PBA Philippine Cup finals.
Will the champagnes flow for Talk N Text or will Powerade live for another day? This question will be answered after today's Game 5 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals.
The Tigers prevented the Tropang Texters from sweeping the best-of-seven series after surviving them 100-97 last Friday.
Sean Anthony buried the go-ahead jumper with 39.8 seconds left while Gary David added a free throw moments later to seal the win for the Tigers. TNT had two chances to send the game into overtime but Jayson Castro and Jimmy Alapag's three-point attempts misfired.
David, who was named Best Player of the Conference before the game, led all scorers with 35 points while Anthony added 19 for the Tigers. Marcio Lassiter tallied 13 points while Doug Kramer chipped in 11. Veteran center Romel Adducul also held his ground against TNT's big men, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks.
Larry Fonacier led TNT with 20 points while Castro and Alapag tallied 18 each. Castro also snared 10 rebounds and made two steals.
"We are trying to funnel our energies into getting another win. Defense will spell the difference for us. We're not thinking of one game at a time, but rather we're thinking of this as one quarter at a time," Powerade coach Bo Perasol said.
Powerade is trying to become the first team to come back from a 0-3 deficit and win a best-of-seven series.
TNT coach Chot Reyes, meanwhile, said that they need to be more aggressive if they are to clinch the series.
"We need to come out stronger than Powerade and match their energy from the start," he said.
"We also need to be more efficient in our running game."
