It's win or go home for Talk N Text and Petron Blaze when they play each other in Game 7 of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinal duel today.
The Tropang Texters overcame a 1-3 deficit and pushed the series into a knockout duel after defeating the Boosters 111-108 last Sunday.
Jimmy Alapag fired 29 points as the Texters avoided elimination for the second-straight time.
"We just have to do our best to be ready," Talk 'N Text coach Chot Reyes told gmanew.com.
"We're raring to go. We are just blessed we are in this position. The kind of effort we had in Game Six is the kind of effort we need (Wednesday). I hope we have saved our best for last."
Reyes, however, will have to deal with some injury woes. Top forward Kelly Williams is not 100% fit as he is still nursing a hamstring injury. Same thing with guard Ryan Reyes, who has yet to fully recover from a wrist injury.
Petron coach Ato Agustin, meanwhile, lamented his team's losses in Game 5 and Game 6.
"We lacked focus especially on defense," he said. "Our game is not like that. Our game is more on the low-scoring, defensive style. This must not happen again. We have to work on our mistakes and let's see what happens (Wednesday)."
Meanwhile, PBA commissioner Chito Salud has cleared both Ali Peek and Alex Cabagnot for today's game. The two players espcaped suspension after committing flagrant fouls in their last game. However, both were slapped with penalties.
