The semi-finals of the World Indoor Bowls Championship take place at Potters Leisure Resort on Saturday with places in Sunday’s Final up for grabs.
The tournament, which is taking place at Potters Leisure Resort until Sunday, January 29, has featured The Ladies World Indoor Matchplay, World Indoor Mixed Pairs Matchplay, The World Indoor Pairs and the much sought after World Indoor Singles Championship.
The first semi-finals of the day sees David Gourlay lock horns with Jason Greenslade at 1230 GMT, before Andy Thomson and Darren Burnett wrap up proceedings from 1430.
Scotland’s Gourlay will fancy his chances of reaching the final after beating Welshman John Price, while Greenslade got the better of Wayne Hogg in his quarter-final clash.
Thomson, who is the elder statesman on the World Bowls Tour, turned back time to pick up an amazing quarter-final win over England team-mate Nicky Brett.
His opponent, third seed Burnett, managed narrow win over number 11 seed Robert Weale from Wales to set up this semi-final encounter.
