Andy Hamilton will be looking to win his first ever PDC World Championship Darts title on Monday when he takes on defending champion Adrian Lewis at Alexandra Palace.

Lewis and Hamilton, who are both from Stoke, will bring the curtain down on an amazing tournament at Alexandra Palace in what should be a thoroughly entertaining encounter.
Andy Hamilton, who started the tournament as a 125/1 rank outsider, will be looking to win his first World Title as Lewis looks to become only the third player to retain the trophy after winning it for the first time.
The other two are Eric Bristow and Raymond van Barneveld, not even Lewis’ former mentor, Phil Taylor, managed to do that.
Hamilton booked his place in the final with a narrow win over talented Australian Simon Whitlock in the first semi-final of the evening.
Hamilton held the advantage in the early stages of the contest as he led 3-1. However, Whitlock then produced some superb darts to take 12 of the next 14 legs in the process of moving 5-3 ahead.
That put the 2010 runner-up a set away from his second final in the space of three years, but Hamilton hit back to claim the next three sets to seal an amazing triumph.
Lewis managed to come through an absolute thriller against James Wade in the second semi after both players left the stage during the contest.
Lewis upset the crowd by walking off stage during his stage during his semi-final win over James Wade because of a draft coming on to the arena- even though it did effect both players - but he showed true champion spirit to make it through to the final.
The champion found himself 5-1 down with Wade on fire, but Jackpot dug real deep and managed to fight back for a 6-5 win. No matter what your personal feelings are to Lewis and his antics, you cannot deny that he is a world class player and he deserves to be on the big stage.
Monday’s final will be streamed live online and will start at 2000 GMT at Alexandra Palace.
