The Daily Mirror Grand Slam of Darts gets underway on Saturday with 32 throwers hoping to earn the right of taking home the title and £100,000.
The opening bout of the tournament sees Middlesbrough’s Colin Osborne step up to the oche against Scotland’s Robert Thornton.

The tournament, which will run for nine days, will see stars from both the PDO and the BDO lock horns at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall as they all battle it our this prestigious title that Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor has won for the past three years.
The format will see eight four player groups contesting the round-robin first round stage with players fighting it our for a place in the last 16 knockout stage.
Play starts at 1800 on Saturday with Groups A to D for their first round matches with former UK Open finalist Osboune looking to put ‘The Thorn’ to the sword.
