Last year’s PDC World Championship Darts runner-up Gary Anderson knows he will have to improve from his first round showing when he takes on Devon Petersen at Alexandra Palace tonight.

The evening session takes place tonight at Alexandra Palace with Gary Anderson going up against South African Devon Petersen with the final match of round two.
Anderson, nicknamed The Flying Scotsman, is currently ranked number four in the world and will still be haunted by last year’s final defeat at the hands of Adrian Lewis.
Anderson was almost sent crashing out at the first hurdle after struggling to overcome the challenge of Jyhan Artut in a game in which the Scotsman was 2-0 down.
Petersen is South Africa’s number one darts player and has already played two matches to get to this stage.
Petersen came through his preliminary clash against Portugal’s Jose de Souza before knocking out Steve Brown in the first round proper to set up this mouth-watering toe with the Premier League champion.
Anderson is the overwhelming odds-on favourite to win this clash and can be backed at 1/14 on with Ladbrokes, while rank outsider Petersen is on offer at 7/1 to cause another Ally Pally upset 24 hours after Phil Taylor was dumped out of the tournament by Dave Chisnall.
Scoreline result betting is very popular at the PDC World Championship Darts and you can back Anderson at 2/1 to walk away with a comfortable 4-1 win, while the South African is a staggering 25/1 to take advantage of Anderson’s shaky form to win the game 4-2.
