Defending champion Gary Anderson kicks off his Premier League Darts campaign on Thursday night against newcomer Kevin Painter.
The 2012 McCoy’s Premier League gets underway on Thursday, February 9 with four exciting matches taking place at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
The £450,000 tournament will see eight stars competing across 14 league nights for places in May's Play-Offs at The O2 in London, meeting twice in the league phase.
Anderson will be looking to make it back-to-back title wins in the Premier League in 2012 and he is the third favourite at 9/2 with Bet365, while Painter, who is competing in the Premier League for the first time in his career, is the rank outsider at 25/1.
The Flying Scotsman is the overwhelming favourite to win the match and can be backed at 4.7, while Painter is on offer at 11/4. The draw is available at 5/1.
Anderson can be backed at 7/1 to pick up a convincing 8-2 win over Painter, while the Artist is 12/1 to pick up an 8-5 win in what would be seen as a major upset.
