Adrian Lewis retained his PDC World Darts Championship title following a comfortable 7-3 win over Andy Hamilton at Alexandra Palace on Monday night.
The early stages of the match were close and there was little to separate the two, but after taking a 4-3 lead there was no looking back for Lewis as he went on to seal victory and secure his second world title.
The Englishman, who beat Scot Gary Anderson in last year's final, led from the off taking the first set with a 122 checkout in the fifth leg.
Hamilton won the second set 3-1 to level the contest, however Lewis gradually took control of the match and soon moved into a 4-2 lead.
And although Hamilton took the seventh, Lewis dominated proceedings thereafter and wrapped the tournament up with double top in the fifth leg of the 10th set.
It was a superb result for Lewis considering how hard he had to battle for victory in his quarter and semi final matches.
Trailing James Wade 5-1 in the semi final, Lewis staged an amazing comeback to secure his place in the final and the rest as they say, is history.
