Paul Nicholson meets Alan Tabern in the final match of Tuesday's evening session in the PDC World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace.

With, arguably, lesser talents Kim Huybrechts or James Richardson awating the winner of this contest in the last 16, Nicholson or Tabern will be aware that a quarter final place is real possibility for whoever can come through this encounter.
Nicholson came into this tournament on the back of less than convincing 2011 overall, however 'The Asset' has shown that he can beat anyone on the big stage and though he didn't always look comfortable during his first round win over Mensur Suljovic, 2011 form shouldn't cast a shadow over his chances this evening.
Alan Tabern also failed to impress when he beat Christian Perez in his first round match and will need to up his scoring in this one to secure passage to the next round.
This best of seven sets match gets underway at 21:50 (GMT) and should be a tense exciting affair.
