New manager Diego Simeone takes charge of Atletico Madrid for the second time this morning against Villarreal, hoping to go one better than their goalless stalemate at Malaga last time out.
Today's opponents Villarreal unsurprisingly sit in the relegation zone following an awful first half of the season and Simeone will expect to build upon a solid start to his reign.
Simeone has some defensive concerns however with Luis Perea and Alvaro Dominguez both suspended for today's match, though right-back Silvio is available following his return from injury.
Villarreal central defenders Carlos Marchena and Mateo Musacchio meanwhile are rumoured to be close to full fitness and available for selection.
The hosts have an outstanding record in head-to-heads between the two having won seven of their last ten meetings, and with the visitors on a nine game winless streak, Simeone can expect his first win at the capital club.
