Confident Genoa can take something from their match with Catania in Sicily.
Genoa have won their last two Serie A matches and the side are up to ninth in Serie A. Much of their good form has been down to veteran striker Marco Rossi and the 33-year-old confirmed this week that he had signed a two year contract extension that would see him finish his career at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
"This is the best present I could have asked for," said Rossi.
"Since joining the club in 2003, I can only say that I have learned so much and I'm proud to remain at the club for life.
"I hope that one day I can give back to others what Genoa has given to me in these years.''
It is 18/1 at
bet365 that Rossi repays the club by scoring the opening goal against Catania on Sunday and it is 3/1 that the striker leads his team to a victory over the Elephants in Sicily.
That could well be a good price as Catania, usually so strong at home, have been struggling recently. Vincenzo Montella's men are without a win in five matches and they are slowly slipping down the Serie A table after a good start to the season. It is 10/11 that they bounce back with a win or 23/10 that they claim a draw but the confidence in the Genoa squad could be decisive this weekend.
