But both sides won their last game in the Spanish league, as Real Madrid came from a goal down last weekend to beat Sporting Gijon 3-1 at the Bernabeu - with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring his 41st goal of the campaign - while Lionel Messi also made it 41 league goals for the campaign as Barca beat Levante 2-1.
Barca head into Saturday's El Clasico clash as odds-on favourites with the bookmakers to take all three points, while bookmakers are also odds-on that both sides will score at some point during the game. Guardiola's men are expected to play a more attacking game than usual as they look to keep the pressure on Jose Mourinho's side at the top of the table.
