The Europa League play-offs get underway on Thursday with FC Vaslui and Sparta Prague going head-to-head in the first-leg.
The First leg of the Europa League playoff match between FC Vaslui and Sparta Prague gets undersay on Thursday. Vaslui progressed to the playoff round after being eliminated by FC Twente in the UEFA Champions League qualification tournament.
The club is coming off a 3-0 victory over Concordia Chiajna in the Romanian Liga 1. Wesley, Silviu Balace and Denis Zmeu were the goal scorers in that match and the trio are once again expected to deliver against Sparta.
Sparta, meanwhile, has won its last five matches in all competitions. In the third round of the Europa League, the Czech club blasted Sarajevo 7-0 on aggregate. Cameroonian striker Leonard Kweuke scored a hat trick in the first leg and scored again in the second leg.
Sparta is coming off back-to-back wins over Jablonec (2-1) and Slovácko (2-0) in the Czech Liga.
