LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire set showdown in MLS
The Home Depot Center in Carson plays host to the Major League Soccer match between the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Chicago Fire on Sunday.
LA leads the Western Conference table with 36 points, two ahead of Dallas. The Galaxy are eager to get back on the winning track after being held to a goalless draw by the Seattle Sounders in their last match.
Chicago is also eager to bounce back after settling for draws in its last four matches. The Fire currently sit in seventh place in the East with 18 points.
Galaxy stars Landon Donovan and David Beckham are not 100% for Sunday's match but coach Bruce Arena is positive that the two players can see action.
"We're probably better with them," he told the team's web site.
"It's not got to be something that happens overnight were we get them both back and we get them playing 90 minutes together."
Curiously, Donovan and Beckham did not play when the Galaxy beat the Fire in April.
Chicago, meanwhile, will try to extend its unbeaten run although it has only secure one win in that stretch.
"We have to stay focused for 90 minutes," Fire defender Cory Gibbs said.
"We had lapses against Chivas. If we do that against a team like the Galaxy, we'll lose."
