Bordeaux's good run set to come to an end against Lille in the Stade Metropole on Sunday.
Bordeaux are unbeaten in their last three matches and many of their supporters now believe that Les Girondins will be capable of pushing on and mounting a challenge for a place in the Europa League in the second half of the season.
However, the side from the west coast have not been playing well and beating Valenciennes and Toulouse and drawing with Evian is hardly ground-breaking. Manager Francis Gillot admitted as much this week.
"I think we could do better," he said.

"It's worth remembering, though, that at the start of the season we were playing lovely football without picking up the points.
"Lately we've taken points off Valenciennes and Evian while playing very average football. We're going through a bad spell in terms of our style but it's been good for us in terms of points because we've been unbeaten in recent games.''
