Motherwell will look to continue their quest for a European place when they host Scottish Premier League strugglers Inverness CT on Saturday.
Motherwell are enjoying a fine season in Scotland’s top flight and sit third in the table with a record of 10 wins, four draws and six defeats. The one-time SPL leaders would appear to be on course for a place in next season’s Europa League, but they have stumbled in recent weeks and that has allowed Hearts and St Johnstone to gain ground.
A 1-1 home draw with St Mirren was followed by defeats to Hearts and Rangers, but they steadied the ship somewhat with a Scottish Cup win over Queen’s Park and will be confident of returning to winning ways in the league this weekend. Motherwell are 10/11 favourites to do just that.
Inverness are battling at the other end of the table with a record of five wins, four draws and 12 defeats putting them in a relegation scrap. However, they have boosted their cause recently by taking four points from their last two SPL outings and are 3/1 to add three more points here. The draw is priced 12/5.
