Fulham are back in Europa League action on Thursday when they take on Odense BK.
The Cottagers have drawn their last five competitive matches, against a variety of opponents, and it is easy to see why.
Martin Jol's side are neither one nor the other, they aren't particularly solid in defence yet they don't offer anything very exciting in attack.
Instead, Fulham are a team that like to try to flood the midfield with players that are good on the ball but often lack cutting edge.
This means that they will control the tempo against weaker sides but are unable to convert possession into clear cut chances. Against stronger sides they simply match their opponents and are able to negate their tactics.
On Thursday the Cottagers will travel to Denmark on yet another leg of their epic Europa League adventure and once again it could pay to side with the stalemate, at odds of 12/5 with
Victor Chandler.
Like their opponents, Odense are a team that can sometimes struggle to impose themselves on teams but they will always give 100% and can be relied to create one or two chances per game. They will also make mistakes or lose concentration, which will give chances to Fulham's Bobby Zamora and Bryan Ruiz but since neither are on form they may not necessarily be taken.
Jol would probably be happy to leave TRE-FOR Park with a point, particularly with winnable matches (one would hope) against Wisla Krakow coming up.
For those who like to trust in the laws of probability, and believe that is impossible for Fulham to draw six times in a row, it is 6/4, at
bet365, that the visitors win in Odense, with the hosts available at 19/10 with
Unibet.
