After winning the Portugal Masters youngster Tom Lewis has seen himself in hot demand and is now tipped to win of golf's Majors.
William Hill offer 80/1 that newly-turned professional Lewis wins the Open Championship in 2012 and 5/6 that he wins a major title before the end of 2017.
The 20-year-old from Welwyn Garden City in England shocked everyone earlier this year when he shot the lowest ever round by an amateur at The Open Championship, and starlet has now signalled his arrival on the European Tour by claiming his maiden title with a two-shot victory in Portugal.
Meanwhile, Rory Mcllroy is the 11/8 favourite to win the Grand Slam of Golf with Carl Schwartzel 2/1, Kevin Bradley 7/2 and Darren Clarke the 11/2 outsider.
Hills are 8/11 that either Mcllroy or Darren Clarke lift the trophy.
Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro.com: “Apart from Rory Mcllroy the majors were won by 100/1 outsiders and it has not come as a surprise that punters are backing Mcllroy to make mincemeat of the field.”
