Spain v Denmark live streaming handball is available on Friday from the EHF European Handball Championship semi-finals.
It's semifinal time in the European Handball Championship in Belgrade on Friday as Spain takes on Denmark.
Spain made it to the medal round by topping Group II with nine points. The Spaniards won all of their matches in the Main Round, beating Croatia (24-22), Iceland (31-26) and Slovenia (35-32).
Denmark likewise won all of its matches in the Main Round to finish second in Group I. They defeated Macedonia (33-32), Germany (28-26) and Sweden (31-24). The Danes were able to overtake Germany, which lost to Poland in its last group match.
"We will face Denmark now in the semi-final and for us this is a great opportunity to make up for some mistakes in the semi-final from last year's World Championship," Spain goalkeeper Jose Javier Hombrados said.
"They will be tough to beat, since they entered the Main Round with zero points and then won all three matches, gaining a lot of self-confidence."
"Germany might have been easier for us, since we beat them in the last Supercup (a test tournament in November 2011 in Germany, which Spain won ahead of Denmark, Sweden and Germany). But thinking about different teams is a moot point now - we have to face Denmark now and make a plenty of right decisions to beat them," he added.
The Danes are also looking forward to their match against the Spaniards.
"After the Polish victory against Germany we knew that there was something to play for, in contrast to Sweden, who did not play for anything. This was the difference between both teams. We hoped that this miracle would happen – and now it is here," Denmark coach Ulrik Wilbek said.
"We were a little bit lucky to have reached the semi-finals after a poor start to the European Championship but after three outstanding performances in the Main Round, we are delighted be in contention for the medals. We will stay as humble as we have always been because Spain are world class team and we face a very difficult game against them. In the semi-final against Spain we are the outsiders."
Spain has never won the European Championship, finishing runner-up in 1996, 1998 and 2006. They also won a bronze medal in 2000. Denmark, meanwhile, is seeking its second European crown after winning the tournament in 2008. The Danes won bronze medals in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
