Brisbane Broncos will be looking to keep on the tails of league leaders Melbourne Storm when they return to NRL action at home against the struggling Gold Coast Titans.
Following the Anzac Test between New Zealand and Australia the NRL returns to business this weekend with Round Eight.
Melbourne Storm lead the way with eight wins from eight following their victory over the New Zealand Warriors on Thursday and the Broncos will be hoping to close that gap to two points again.
Brisbane have shocked many this year with their performances on the field considering the retirement of Darren Lockyer and they will be forgiven for dreaming about another Grand Final appearance.
The Broncos are in second place after winning six of their opening seven matches with only one defeat and they should have no real problems beating the Titans despite it being a local derby.
Gold Coast Titans are struggling this season despite having the likes of Jamal Idris and Greg Bird in their ranks.
The Titans, who are coached by John Cartwright, are currently15th in the 16-team competition with just two wins to their name and five defeats and they will be calling on local pride to drag them through against the Broncos.
Broncos coach Anthony Griffin welcomes back influential halfback Peter Wallace from injury and he goes straight into the starting line-up with Ben Hunt dropping to the bench.
The Titans, on the other hand, move prop forward Nate Myles to lock in place of the suspended Ashley Harrison, while Luke Douglas starts in the front row.
