Glasgow Warriors will be without winger Rory Lamont for the New Year’s Day clash with Edinburgh in the RaboDirect Pro 12 through injury.
Watch the RaboDirect Pro 12 Rugby on BBC Scotland on Sunday, January 1 at 1735 GMT.
Lamont will sit on the sidelines for the clash at Firhill after being stretchered off with a head injury during their Boxing Day clash against Sunday’s opposition.
Colin Shaw takes the place of Lamont, while Sean Lineen has made six other changes to their starting fifteen.
Jon Welsh is in at loose-head prop in place of Ryan Grant. Dougie Hall and Moray Low form a new front row with Welsh.
The two teams drew 23-23 last Monday in what is deemed the first leg of the 1872 Cup, but is also a league fixture.
Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley, however, has made 13 changes for the game. Simon Webster, Alan MacDonald and Phil Godman all return to the front-line alongside Stuart McInally, Tom Brown and Matt Scott.
The return of Jim Thompson and John Houston from injury completes the back-line while Andrew Kelly returns to the front-row between Kyle Traynor and Jack Gilding.
The Warriors are seen as the odds-on favourites to win this clash and can be backed at 2/9 with
Paddy Power, while Edinburgh are 11/4 with the draw on offer at 22/1.
Handicap betting sees the visitors handed a nine point start at 10/11, while Glasgow can be backed at the same price at -9.
