Qualifying action returns this week as players set their sights on a place in the final stages of the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open, the second ranking event of the season. Keep up to date will all the latest scores and fixtures here.
No sooner had one set of qualifiers been staged last week, another begins as the start of the ranking season draws closer.
Just 16 qualifying places are up for grabs in the final stages of £300,000 event to be held in Bendigo in mid-July, one of many major events being staged in growing snooker territories overseas.
The successful qualifiers will join the world's top 16 players to complete the star-studded field down under.
Notable stars in qualifying action over the four days include Barry Hawkins, Marco Fu and Dominic Dale, as well as former World Champions Ken Doherty and Peter Ebdon.
As ever there is a mixture of youth and experience, with rising stars such as Jamie Jones, Jack Lisowski and Ben Woollaston joined by the likes of six-time World Champion Steve Davis and fellow legend Jimmy White.
A host of promising Asian cueists will also be hoping to seal their place in the event, with recent World Championship competitors Liang Wenbo, Liu Chuang and Cao Yupeng among the many Chinese hopefuls likely to be among the challengers.
The qualifiers run from June 12-15, with all matches are played over the best of nine frames. Selected matches being streamed live from the World Snooker Academy, Sheffield.
