The pair are level on points and have an inseperable record going into their final week night of the league stage. They sit three points behind Neil Robertson, who currently occupies fourth.
A defeat for either would see them eliminated from the competition, whereas a win in both the semi-final and final would guarantee qualification for the finals in Norfolk.
Despite reaching a ranking final this season, Williams has been sluggish by his own standards; he has won just two games on the PTC tour over several events and has often lost to lowly ranked opposition.
Stevens began brightly in week one of the Premier League, winning both of his opening games 3-0. He has since collected just three points from two matches.
Welshman Williams has won six of their nine meetings in all, notablty defeating his fellow countryman 5-0 at the Shanghai Masters this year.
The bookmakers make Williams short-priced 8/15 favourite with Bet365, with Stevens offering value at 11/8 over a short format.
The match begins at 9pm from the Spiceball Leisure Centre, Banbury and will be streamed live over the best of five frames, with the 20 second shot clock in operation.
