Fans favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan will be looking to bounce back from a poor start to the Premier League Snooker season when he arrives in Doncaster on Thursday.
The Premier League Snooker is a very popular event which features 10 of the world’s best snooker plays playing over a number of week’s and Thursday‘s installment comes from The Dome in Doncaster with Ronnie O’Sullivan, Matthew Stevens, Ding Junhui and Ali Carter competing in the semi-finals.
Each player will play on four of the ten nights in what will be a mini-tournament consisting of two semis and a final.
Players will pick up points for frames won and at the conclusion of the league section, the top four will advance to the play-offs which take place at Potters Leisure Resort over the 26th and 27th November.
The opening contest sees O’Sullivan take to the table against Matthew Stevens.
Reigning Premier League champion and number one seed O’Sullivan has only played one match so far this season, with that ending in a 3-2 defeat against Shaun Murphy in the second week.
Stevens, who is ranked ninth, will still be in confident mood following his Final win in Week One thanks to a 3-0 whitewash over Neil Robertson in the semi-final before doing the same to John Higgins in the Final.
