Former practice partners Hendry and Maguire will meet on the big stage for the second time in a month, with both set on winning the title tonight.
Maguire, who is the highest ranked player of the four semi-finalists, has lived up to his 'On Fire' nickname this weekend, dropping just one frame in seeing off David Gray and Andrew Higginson.
Seven-time world champion Hendry must win this event if he is to make the Grand Finals in March and has came through close-run matches to defeat Marco Fu and Michael Holt en route to this stage.
Despite dropping out of the top 16, Hendry appears to have recaptured some promising form on the tour and has proved he still has what it takes to live with the big boys.
Both players are capable of making regular high breaks with their superb potting ability, which should make for a tasty encounter.
The duo last met in round one of the UK Championship in December, with Maguire taking a 6-3 victory.
The bookmakers make Maguire the 8/13 favourite to progress again today, with Hendry offering value at 6/5 with Bet365.
The winner will take on either Martin Gould or Joe Perry in this evening's final.
The match begins at 3pm UK time (4pm local time) and will be streamed live over the best of seven frames from Event Forum, Fuerstenfeldbruck, Munich.
