The second largest snooker ranking tournament continues today with a number of top class matches in prospect at the UK Championship in York.

The £625,000 televised event kicked off last Saturday morning and marked a return to its former venue - The York Barbican, following a five-year absence.
The world's top 16 ranked players are joined by 16 players who came through the recent qualifying event.
Wednesday's order of play sees the talented Ding Junhui go up against another accomplished potter in Matthew Stevens, while Mark Williams is also in action against Ricky Walden.
There is a tasty clash in the evening session when Allister Carter goes up against Mark Allen, while Marco Fu fancies his chances against Mark Selby.

All matches up to and including the quarter-finals are the best of 11 frames. The semi-finals are the best of 17 frames, while the final is the best of 19 frames.
