Andy Murray will be seeking his third title win of the year when he battles Donald Young in the ATP Bangkok Thailand Open Final.
Murray battled past third seed Gilles Simon 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 in the last four, overcoming a second set dip to reach his second Thailand Open final.
"It's always tough playing Gilles; he's a very good player," Murray said. It was always going to be difficult. He's probably going to finish the year in the top 10 again. He doesn't give you many matches. He makes you work hard for it. I was happy I managed to stay patient in the end."
"It's great to be in the final. I've only played here a few times and I haven't been back in a while. Hopefully I can go one further than the first time I got to the final here."
Murray made the Bangkok final six years ago losing to Roger Federer in straight sets back then. This time the Brit is strong favourite against Young who saw off second seed Gael Monfils 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(5) on Saturday to reach his first tour final.
"I'm excited, I'm stoked, all the words that mean you're happy to be in my first final," Young said. "I've seen a lot of my peers make finals and I'm happy to be in my first one. It's great to beat a top-10 player of the calibre of Gael."
Murray and Young have already faced each other twice this year, Young triumphing over an out of sorts Murray back in March at Indian Wells but the Brit gained revenge in straight sets in the fourth round of the US Open.
