Fed Cup 2012 quarter-finals from World Group I and II will be played on February 4 and 5 this year.
Four of the ties, from the World Group I can be seen online. In the first match, top-seeded Russian side take on Spain at Moscow in an indoor hard court.
Belgium, seeded fourth in the tournament this year, will play Serbia at Charleroi, also on the same indoor hard surface. In another tie, third-seeded Italy will be up against Ukraine at Biella on indoor clay while second-seeded Czech Republic play Germany at Stuttgart in an indoor hard court.
Later in the year, the winner of the Russia-Spain tie will play the winner of the match between Belgium and Serbia in the semi-final. The other semi-final will be contested between the winners of the Italy-Ukraine match and the Germany v Czech Republic encounter.
The four losing teams in these quarter-finals will go on to play the four winning teams from the World Group II in the playoffs for the next year.
