Novak Djokovic takes on Viktor Troicki for the second time in a matter of weeks at the Sony Ericsson Open today.

Do not hold out much hope for Troicki today as he attempts to become the first man to defeat Djokovic in 2011. They played at this stage in Indian Wells and Troicki was comprehensively routed 6-0, 6-1 by his close friend and Davis Cup teammate.

Djokovic is barely conceding games at the moment, such is his form. He destroyed Denis Istomin 6-0, 6-1 in the opening round and even a player of James Blake's class could only manage two games in round three.

Djokovic has won his last eight matches against Troicki and he will be supremely confident of booking a quarter-final berth. He has won all twenty of his matches so far in 2011 and only John McEnroe and Ivan Lendl have achieved greater winning streaks at the start of a season. McEnroe's record of 39 consecutive wins is still some way off but if Djokovic maintains this form then who knows.

Djokovic attributes his brilliant form to the confidence from an improved first serve. “I have been working really hard on my serve in the last ten months, and now it's coming back to me,” he said.

“I have been really trying to use that serve and trying to get some free points out of it, and tonight it was working really great. I think I'm quite a complete player. My game is based obviously on the baseline, but I need that serve so I can get more free points and put a lot of pressure on my opponent. That's where I'm getting lately, so I'm happy with that.”
