Rafael Nadal will be vying for a third Indian Wells Masters title this seasonYou can watch and bet on the action from the Indian Wells Masters live for free at bet365 > live streaming > tennisRafael Nadal came agonisingly close to winning a third Indian Wells Masters title last year, losing in the final after being a set up against Serbia’s Novak Djokovic (4-6, 6-3, 6-2). The Spaniard will return in 2012 with ambitions of completing a title hat-trick here, and gaining some momentum in his bid to get back on top of the world rankings.
Nadal’s recent battles with Djokovic have stunned the tennis world, as Djokovic has proved to be the one man capable of consistently beating him. No matter what the former world No. 1 seems to do, and no matter how much he throws at Djokovic, he simply can’t quite defy him at the moment. Djokovic now holds a seven-match winning streak over the world No. 2, and this could be of psychological importance heading into the Indian Wells Masters.
Nadal will also have to contend with Roger Federer and Andy Murray. Federer remains consistent as ever, but seems to struggle against Nadal. Murray is another player who more often than not gets outdone by Nadal, but again, he’s got the capacity to beat anyone on his day.
Nadal could very well win the Indian Wells Masters this year, but this seems to be a ‘Golden Age’ of tennis, and the competition is incredibly fierce. If he’s going to lift the trophy on the final day, Nadal will most likely have to push himself to his absolute limits.
