Nadal and Djokovic are the players to beat in world tennis at the moment and the top two in the rankings meet in a Masters Series final for the second tournament in succession.
Djokovic has been virtually unstoppable in 2011, notching up a barely believable winning streak of 25 matches. The Serb has claimed the Australian Open, Dubai and Indian Wells titles so far and he's hoping to become the first man since Roger Federer in 2005 and 2006 to accomplish the Indian Wells-Miami double.
Djokovic won a tough battle 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the Indian Wells final but he faces an arguably tougher test this time round. Not only is the Miami surface much slower, making it harder for him to hit through Nadal, the Spaniard has looked close to his best at the Sony Ericsson Open.
Gone are the serving issues which plagued him in the desert and he sent a message to everyone on the tour with his emphatic semi-final win over Roger Federer.
However Nadal has yet to win the Miami title. He has finished runner-up twice before, losing in five sets to Federer in 2005 and then surprisingly outplayed by Nikolay Davydenko in the 2008 showpiece. Djokovic won Miami back in 2007, the first big title of his career.
Nadal does lead their overall head-to-head by a convincing 16-8 but crucially, Djokovic leads 8-5 in their matches on hard courts.
