The race to reach the WTA Linz quarter-finals hots up today with Jelena Jankovic one of the ladies fighting for a last eight spot.
Former world number 1 Jankovic stands in the way of British number one Anne Keothavong on Thursday for a place in the quarter-finals of WTA Linz.
Jankovic made her way to the second round after a retired-victory over Kateryna Bondarenko after she was forced to pull out with a neck injury, while Keothavong was victorious in her opening match against Ekaterina Makarova after being handed a spot in the draw as a lucky loser.
Other matches taking place on Thursday see top seed Petra Kvitova take on Patrica Mayr-Achleitner and Ksenia Pervak against Daniela Hantuchova for a place in the quarters.
