New Zealand’s tour of Zimbabwe gets started on Saturday when they take to the field in their opening Twenty20 clash in Harare.
The Black Caps have travelled to Zimbabwe for a Tour that includes two Twenty20 clashes, three One Day Internationals and a One-off Test match and they should be expected to remain unbeaten on the whole tour.
Anything can happen in a Twenty20 encounter but New Zealand should have enough with bat and ball to be too strong for their hosts.
Ross Taylor will be captaining the Black Caps for the first time in the absence of Ross Taylor and he is hoping to set an example with the bat and prove he is a born leader.
Taylor told the New Zealand Herald: “There's always going to be nerves when you take over as captain for the first time, but the biggest thing for me is scoring runs, leading from the front,"
“If you're scoring runs the team is going to follow and your speeches become easier. There's no use preaching to the team if you're not scoring runs."
