In-form Frenchman Gregory Gaultier will fancy his chances on Thursday of reaching the final of the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions when he takes on number one seed Nick Matthew.
The semi-finals of the Men’s Tournament of Champions Squash takes place in the early hours of Thursday morning in New York.
The Tournament of Champions is a prestigious competition with 24 of the world’s best 25 players taking part in the 32 man player draw with the remaining eight places taken up by qualifiers.
The second semi-final, at 0045 GMT, sees number one seed and former world number one Nick Matthew going up against talented Frenchman Gregory Gaultier.
Matthew has recorded wins over Wael El Hindi, Adrian Grant and Mohamed El Shorbagy, while Gaultier has beaten Borja Golan, Nicolas Mueller and Amr Shabana to set up this mouth-watering encounter.
