The quarter-finals of the Swedish Open Squash take place in Linkoping on Friday with number one seed Gregory Gaultier among the competitors.
The Case Swedish Open 2012 is being held in Linkoping from Thursday, February 2 until Sunday, February 5 with $70,000 up for grabs in prize money.
The opening round took place on Thursday with one major shock occurring with fourth seed Thierry Lincou crashing out at the hands of the unseeded Daryl Selby from England.
Selby picked up a shock 4-11 0-11 11-9 11-7 11-3 victory over the Frenchman and will now face unseeded German Simon Rosner for a place in the semi-finals.
Number one seed Gaultier made it through to the last eight after seeing off Saurav Ghosal in just 49 minutes and will now face England‘s Tom Richards, while number two seed Karim Darwish will face Nicolas Mueller after cruising past qualifier Henrik Mustonen.
The other quarter-final sees number three seed Peter Baker lock horns with South African Stephen Coppinger after beating Rasmus Hult and Campbell Grayson respectively.
