The two best players in the world will lock horns in the men’s final of the Tournament of Champions Squash in New York on Friday morning.
The Tournament of Champions is a prestigious competition with 24 of the world’s best 25 players taking part in the 32 man player draw with the remaining eight places taken up by qualifiers.
Current world number one James Willstrop will go head to head with former number one Nick Matthew for the J.P Morgan Tournament of Champions title.
Willstrop, who is seeded two for the tournament, booked his place in the final with a win over the unseeded Englishman Daryl Selby.
Willstrop had already beaten Zac Alexander, Mohammed Abbas and fellow Englishman Peter Barker earlier in the tournament.
Matthew, who is the number one seed in New York, got the better of talented Frenchman Gregory Gaultier to set up this mouth-watering contest.
Matthew will be looking to add Willstrop to his list of victims that already include Wael El Hindi, Adrian Grant and Mohamed El Shorbagy.
