The Russian Professional Basketball League continues today with CSKA Moscow hosting Khimki.
CSKA leads the team standings with a 16-1 record. The powerhouse club is aiming to avenge its 65-75 defeat to Khimki earlier in the season. CSKA has since won 12 games in a row in the PBL.
In the last round, CSKA walloped Krasnie Krilya 98-63. Sammy Mejia topscored for Moscow with 20 points. Viktor Khryapa added 16 points while Alexey Shved added 13.
Khimki, meanwhile, is in second place with a 15-2 record. They are coming off back-to-back victories over Unics in the PBL. Khimki is eager to bounce back after being eliminated by Lietuvos Rytas in the VTB United League quarterfinal recently.
Vitaly Fridzon and Kresimir Loncar are the club's top players. Other names to watch out for in the team are Sergey Monya and Zoran Planinic.
