Boxing is seen as the major combat sport and you can keep up-to-date with the wide range of divisions on show with some of the biggest names to enter the squared circle.
The heavyweight division has taken some criticism over the last few years and has not been taken very seriously. The division is dominated by Ukrainian brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko with them holding the WBC, WBO, WBA IBF titles between them, but truthfully speaking they are not the most entertaining of fighters.
British fighter David Haye thought he was the man to bring the heavyweight division crashing to its knees after moving up from cruiserweight. He originally took the division by storm by defeating Nikolay Valuev in Germany to win the WBA title. He then set his sights on dethroning the Klitschko brothers, but he fell at the first hurdle when he was beaten by Wladimir on points. Haye has since retired from boxing, abut both Klitschko brothers are looking to tempt him out of retirement - Watch this space for any developments in that department.
The two biggest names in the sport of professional boxing at this moment in time are Manny Pacquaio and Floyd Mayweather with the whole boxing world hoping they finally meet in the ring in 2012.
Pacquaio is rated as the best pound for pound fighter on the planet and negotiations keep stalling about getting PacMan and Floyd in the ring at the same time in what would be an outstanding bout at welterweight level.
Many critics believe that Mayweather has been hiding from Pacquiao for years, but following a less than impressive display by the PacMan in his win over Juan Manuel Márquez in Las Vegas in November 2011, those same critics feel Mayweather may now up the ante and seriously try to get this fight on.
