Second placed Esteghlal take on top of the table Al Jazira in Group A of the Asian Champions League on Tuesday afternoon.
Al Jazira top the group after two high scoring opening encounters, a 4-2 win over Nasaf and a 3-2 triumph over Al Rayyan.
Esteghlal occupy second place in the group on four points thanks to a 1-0 win in Qatar over Al Rayyan and a 0-0 draw with Uzbekistan's Nasaf.
The hosts have been dealt a blow ahead of the visit of Al Jazira however, with the loss of first-choice goalkeeper Mahdi Rahmati through injury.
Rahmati is the only goalkeeper to have kept two clean sheets in the opening two games of the tournament and with Al Jazira in such free scoring form, his absence could be their undoing.
Esteghlal will also be without the services of midfielder Mojtaba Jabbari, although Andranik Teymourian could return to the fold following an injury lay off.
Australia defender Lucas Neill misses out for UAE Pro League champions Al Jazira due to suspension.
