Györi Audi ETO KC bring a slender two goal advantage over Buducnost into Sunday's EHF Women's Champions League Final second leg.
The Veszprém Arena in Hungary hosted a superb first leg tie in which Györi Audi ETO defeated Buducnost 29-27 in a thrilling match. They now take a two goal lead to Podgorica for the return match on Sunday.
Attendees at the sold-out venue were treated to a feast of handball with both sides looking strong in defence from the outset.
A tight game ensued and both goalkeepers produced several heroic saves to add to the excitement.
Győri had the stronger second half and Buducnost can thank Bojana Popovic for keeping them in the final as she finished the game on 14 goals.
Head coach of Győri, Karl Erik Bohn said after the game, "I am disappointed that we only won by two goals, even though we were at five. We did not play well, and only Anita Görbicz and Katrine Lunde Haraldsen emerged from the performance (with any credit)."
Sunday's second leg gets under way at 1800 BST and will be streamed live at bet365.
