THW Kiel will try to add SC Magdeburg to its long list of victims in the Handball Bundesliga this season.
The top-ranked club is unbeaten in 28 matches to emerge as the runaway leader with 56 points, nine ahead of Flensburg-Handewitt.
Kiel defeated FA Göppingen 33-23 in its last Bundesliga match. The powerhouse is also coming off a 33-27 victory over RK Zagreb to reach the EHF Champions League Final Four.
Out to lead Kiel are Filip Jicha, Momir Ilic, Kim Andersson and goalkeeper Thierry Omeyer.
Magdeburg, meanwhile, lies in sixth place with 37 points. They should not be underestimated as they are coming off back-to-back wins over Hannover-Burgdorf (29-22) and TV Grosswallstadt (27-21).
Kiel beat Magdeburg 33-26 in their first meeting this season.
