Russia can make it a clean sweep of wins in Group B at the Women's World Handball Championship with victory over Kazakhstan this evening.
The defending champions have taken the tournament by storm with their fast-breaking attacking play and are heavily favoured to not only win this match, but also to win the tournament outright.
With a solid defence and experienced players like Liudmila Bodnieva, Natalia Shipilova, Maria Sidorowa and Elena Bliznova in their ranks, the Russians look unstoppable on current form.
Their opponents Kazakhstan have taken just two points from a possible eight in the group stages and face a daunting task when this match gets underway at 22:15 (GMT).
Also in action on Friday are the two other teams to take maximum points ahead of today's matches, hosts Brazil and Denmark.
The Brazilians take on Tunisia in Group C at 21:45 and a win will see them finish top of the group ahead of second placed France.
Denmark take on Sweden at 19:15 to decide who finishes top of Group D, although the Swedes would have to beat the Danes by more than 14 goals to win the group on goal difference - an unlikely scenario.
