Seven races await us at Nottingham on Sunday with the first event due under way at 2.20. The advance going is ‘Firm, Good to Firm in places’.
Race 1 (Nottingham 2.20) – Alhebayeb is bred to be useful and with the Hannon yard in good form will be a popular choice. Also of interest is David Brown’s newcomer Clean Blow, who is bred to be decent.
Race 2 (Nottingham 2.50) – Welease Bwian wasn’t beaten far at Goodwood and this looks a more suitable task. Another with claims is Uncle Timmy, a previous C&D winner.
Race 3 (Nottingham 3.20) - Taurus Twins and all-weather winner Kingsgate Choice both have plenty going for them in this tricky little sprint handicap and should see us safely through to the third leg of the bet.
Race 4 (Nottingham 3.50) – Hallstatt and Veloce met here a few weeks ago and the former came out best, but over a slightly shorter trip there should be very little between the pair today.
Race 5 (Nottingham 4.20) - With Sir Henry Cecil’s team in great form at the moment his seasonal debutant Feelthedifference is one to have on your side, but we also include the unexposed Operation Tracer, who might have slipped under the handicapper’s radar.
Race 6 (Nottingham 4.50) – Newcomer Miss Dashwood comes from a fine family and may be good enough to close on debut. Another with claims in a tricky maiden contest is Fulney, who ran well on both starts last season.
